On the first day of Winter Session of 17th Lok Sabha Jugal Kishore Sharma Member of Parliament BJP Jammu-Poonch raised his voice regarding development of Jammu to Akhnoor 4-lanning and its widening upto Rajouri Poonch. He said that funds have been sanctioned for Widening of National Highway from Jammu to Akhnoor upto Rajouri & Poonch and construction work from Jammu to Akhnoor is in progress.He said that the construction work upto is alloted to National Highway Development Corporation Private Ltd but the work from Akhnoor to Rajouri and to Poonch is under Border Road Organization.
Member of Parliament brought under the Notice of Ministry that the Construction work for Widening of National Highway road from Akhnoor to Rajouri and Poonch still not have been started and progress is very slow.He said that road is very important observes very heavy traffic and congestion also provides connectivity to border and interlink to the rural areas.
Member of Parliament said that Akhnoor to Rajouri & Poonch National Highway work also needs to be allotted to NHIDCL so that the work for widening of National Highway upto Rajouri & Poonch should be started soon.
